Surprise 3rd Party Candidate Enters the Race!

Confession: I am one of those few remaining “undecided” voters still out there. Apparently, the consensus view by professional pols is that these few undecided voters primarily consist of the uninformed, the ignorant and the out-of-touch. Apparently, then, I am essentially confessing to being a moron.

In any case, this has been my problem:

Obama is just a tad too liberal for me, and Romney, the self-declared “severe conservative”, is just too darn conservative for me. So here I’ve sat, lost somewhere between their agendas.

Earlier in the political season, there was speculation of a possible 3rd party candidate, a centrist of sorts who would bring these disparate ideologies together. First, there was Americans Elect, planning on selecting a moderate candidate. Then there was the little known No Labels group. Ultimately, no one stepped up to the plate, so here I’ve sat, still undecided — until, perhaps, this past week.

Then Wednesday evening, from out of the blue, a surprise 3rd party moderate stepped onto the debate floor with President Obama. This candidate spoke the language of moderation and compromise that has simply not been heard at any time during this political season:

.

like parts of Obamacare,” he said.

I think Dodd-Frank has many positive features,” he admitted.

I’m not going to lower taxes on the rich,” he boldly announced for every Conservative voter to hear.

.

Did I just find my moderate, centrist candidate — my reasonable compromise between Obama and Romney?

Maybe.

……. or maybe not.

Damn. Still undecided.
